Police arrested three people last Thursday when they raided the Water Margin restaurant building in the town centre after officers on patrol noted a strange smell coming from the Cullybackey Road premises.

A 54-year-old man, Wan Hon-Fai, appeared at Magistrates’ Court on Saturday on drugs charges in connection with the haul. He was released on bail to appear again on March 13.

Police said a 50-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were freed pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Detectives released the picture on Monday as part of their investigation into the cultivation and distribution of the drugs.

The woman is believed to have recently lived at the premises above the restaurant.

If anyone can help with the enquiry or the identity of the woman, they are asked to contact Ballymena detectives on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
