Schoolboys in charity fast

SIX schoolboys held a charity fast in the run up to Christmas 1986.

While preparations were being made for traditional turkey dinners the boys spent one day without food.

Their 24 hour fast was to raise funds for St Vincent de Paul and they set themselves a target of £100.

They all were pupils at St Paul’s Junior High School and were supervised by three teachers.
