Eden writer Jo Zebedee’s sci-fi tale Inish Carraig will be released next month.

It follows the publication of her debut novel Abendau’s Heir, the first book in the Inheritance Trilogy, earlier this year.

“I don’t have a confirmed release date yet but it will be August for sure, and Eason’s and Waterstones in Belfast will be stocking it,” said Jo.

Inish Carraig is set in a post-alien invasion Belfast after Earth has been defeated.

It follows the story of Belfast teenager John Dray, who will do whatever he has to survive.

Jo said: “When he’s offered desperately needed food in exchange for dispersing a suspicious compound over the city, he takes the job for his family’s survival.

“When the compound is revealed to contain a virus lethal to the city’s alien invaders, he finds himself charged with xenocide by the newly-formed Galactic Council.

“Dray is sent to Inish Carraig, a forbidding, remote prison, where he uncovers the secret behind the virus - a plot which will threaten the Earth, and those he loves. He must unveil the conspiracy. He just has to get out of prison first.”

Meanwhile, Jo is due to take part in a panel discussion at the TitanCon convention in September.
