Sports clubs invited to sit on new forum

The head of sport at the Londonderry and Strabane Council wants local clubs of all codes and hues to sit on a new working group and forum to share views and experiences.

Paul Tamati, Leisure and Sports Services Manager with Derry City and Strabane District Council, said: “It will be a working group offering all sports clubs and groups a forum where they can meet with other clubs to share views, seek advice and information, and learn about new projects or initiatives such as coach development, equipment costs, travel to major competitions and the organisation of sports events.”

The Council is encouraging all clubs to nominate a representative in advance of the Sports Forum AGM which will take place on Thursday 10th September 2015, Foyle Arena, at 7.15pm.
