Success for quiz team

The team of six, called 20 Regal and 99 Please, competed at the local heat in the Courthouse Bar to secure its place and will now travel to Jude’s Bar in Belfast later this month, where the final will be held.

The competition is being run by leading crisp brand McCoy’s, which is owned by United Biscuits.

The company’s marketing manager wished the team well.

She said: “I know the heat was a closely fought contest so I’d like to congratulate captain Barry McManus and his team on getting this far and wish them well in the final, which is taking place later this month.”
