Bays for BarrCregg windfarm
Energy firm RES has applied for planning permission for 14 passing bays to facilitate the development of its seven turbine Barr Cregg windfarm near Claudy.
The company says the proposed wind farm has an indicative installed capacity of 12.6 (MW) which will generate clean, renewable energy equivalent to the annual electricity demand of an estimated 7,000 homes a year.
The passing bays will be located on ‘adopted highway lands’ off the Craigatoke Road and Slaughtmanus Road.
