Police advised motorists to avoid the lower deck of the Bridge, after the lorry became stuck due to its height. The bridge re-opened around 3pm.

The long vehicle was on its way across one of the only double deck road bridges in Europe in the direction of the Waterside when it became stuck.

The lower deck formerly accommodated a railway line. It’s named after James Craig, the first Prime Minister of Northern Ireland.
