NI folk subsidised HBO to tune of £9m
THE people of Northern Ireland subsidised HBO to the tune of £9m for the Game of Thrones pilot and four subsequent series.
Investment Minister Arlene Foster said the total expenditure since 2009 was £9,250,000.
But this has resulted in work for the equivalent of 691 full time positions.
