Young mum in court for failing to pay speeding fine she ‘could not afford’
A judge told a Gulladuff woman “just slow down” as he handed her fines of £115 and three points for speeding on the Glenshane Road in July.
Magherafelt Magistrates heard how Megan Craig, 20, was driving at 84mph when police pulled her over, but had since failed to pay the £60 fine.
When asked why by Judge White, the Clarkes Court resident said: “I am a single parent and I could not afford it to be honest.”
