A spokesperson for Let’s Rock organisers UK Live said: “We would really like to thank both our audience and the artists for their amazing support and loyalty, and we really can’t wait to come back bigger and better next year. However, we couldn’t just leave it until then!

“We all need a little pick-me-up so we thought why can’t we do a festival ‘off the field’?

“We’re not all together in a field with a drink in hand enjoying the atmosphere, but we can all live through it together on our screens, and hopefully we can also raise some much-needed funds for an incredible charity.”

The festival is in aid of Child Bereavement UK, which supports families and educates professionals both when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, and when a child is facing bereavement.

Child Bereavement UK is Let’s Rock official charity partner and UK Live has helped raise more than £500,000 for it in the past few years.

The 80s Lockdownfest online festival is completely free and can be viewed on the Let’s Rock - The Retro Festival channel on YouTube.

Donations to Child Bereavement UK are encouraged during or after the show. Visit www.letsrock80s.com for more information about the festival and see www.childbereavementuk.org/Pages/Category/coronavirus for details about the charity.
