Jack Hutchinson was the star, coming back from one down at the turn, to win by 2 holes up.

Rory McNiff fought bravely right to the last but a careless error at the 18th hole cost him dearly. Rory inadvertently played the wrong ball and he lost the hole and his match.

Edenmore won the first leg by 17 points to 3.

The second leg will be played at Banbridge on Sunday the 12th of June.

Banbridge will probably win at home but can they score 17 points or better? That’s the big question.
