Bradie and Hannah’s selection follows on from several superb performances by East Coast Cheetahs at the recent NI & Ulster Age Group XC Championships in Jordanstown, and is a real boost to the club’s junior athletics programme.

East Coast AC Senior Coach Mark McManus spoke of his delight at Bradie and Hannah’s selection: “As senior coach of East Coast AC, it’s very difficult to put into words how proud I am, but, I am so pleased to see that two of our Cheetahs have been selected to represent County Antrim at the All-Ireland XC Championships,” he said.

“This is testament to the fantastic efforts and dedication put into each and every training session and determination at every race. It is also excellent for the club - it proves that our Cheetahs are going to provide a positive future for the town of Larne.

“I’m also delighted for Bradie and Hannah’s parents, it’s a very proud moment for them, and they have supported what we do at the Cheetahs from day one!

“Thanks must also go to all of the coaching team for the fantastic work that they do every week as volunteers. We are building a future for athletics in the town and, at the minute, we have a very stable foundation built.”
