Athletics: Magherafelt Harrier Emma McCann betters Brighton half marathon

Sebastian Wisniewski travelled to Parkanaur Forest Park for the blood swear and tears extreme running race. Sebastian joined over 500 other competitors in raising money for Ni Cancer Fund for Children.

No times available at going to press but the charity was the big winner once again. Well done, Sebastian .

Club members Alvin Taylor and Rhoda Finlay joined members from Sperrin Harriers and Carmen Runners in this Leader in running fitness course held at Mid Ulster Sports arena .organised by our neighbours Sperrin Harriers and hosted by tutors from Athletics Ni .

A very informative day for everyone and thanks to Sperrin for the invite and organising this course .

Club membership is now due and can be paid at training or given to any committee member at a cost of £20.

Sperrin Harriers have organised two information evenings and Magherafelt Harriers are welcome to attend.

Tuesday 3rd march - Sports injury - Musa- 8-9pm & Tuesday 10th march - Sports Nutrition -Musa -8-9:30pm .

If anyone is interested in attending any of these evenings please confirm beforehand. These evenings are free of charge .

Training continues Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30pm and Sunday mornings from 8:30am all from Rainey old boys rugby club .

The Sunday runs are geared up for the clubs London marathon competitors but everyone is welcome with various distances catered for on the day .

All new runners are welcome , follow us on FB for training updates and other club activities .

With less than three weeks to the second running of our 10k classic Road Race it’s all hands to the pump to ensure another successful event .

Can we ask any club member that doesn’t intend running could they please get in touch regarding marshalling duties etc .
