Ballybrakes Ladies progress in Inter-Club Tournament

The Ladies of Ballybrakes Community Indoor Bowling Club travelled to County Antrim IBC on Saturday to play in the Inter-Club Championship, this is a team game, of four rinks, played between the three stadiums each year.

The ladies produced a great overall performance recording wins on all four rinks.

Results - Anne McKillop 17 – Vi Luney 11, Dessa Baird 16 – Sally McAuley 13, Alice Elliott 18 – Ann Craig 7, Jennifer Dowds 21 – Barbara Cameron 16, Ballybrakes CIBC 72 – Co Antrim IBC 47.

The ladies now play Belfast IBC in Ballymoney on Sunday 20th October at 10:30am.

This year the Ballybrakes Club is hosting the Men’s Inter-Club Championship on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October starting at 9:30am each morning.

The details of the team will be posted in next week’s paper.

Meanwhile, the club would like to pass on huge congratulations to Robert Allen, Trevor Colvin, Simon Colvin and Gary McCloy on winning the ‘Sports Team’ award at the Ballymoney Sports Awards on Saturday evening.

The four won the Irish Indoor rinks title back in January and was the first Irish title for the newly named club.

Just a reminder that Ritchie Remo is appearing in Ballybrakes CIBC on Wednesday 13th November at 8pm and is being run by Ballymoney Ladies Hockey Club.
