Ballymacash lift Sportsman’s Cup in First Blues league

Ballymacash lifted the Sportsman’s Cup when the semi final and final of the competition was held in the sponsor’s rooms of the First Blues Lisburn and District Dart League.

The first semi final saw McCrums and Marketview win two apiece at the start. Marketview then found their finishing power winning the next four for a 6-2 victory.

McCrums winners were G. Beggs Jnr, W. Nelson.

Marketview winners were K. Bowden (100, 140, 21 darts), S. Nugent (100, 121), K. White, R. Dean (100), B. Jones and F. McMahon.

The second semi final looked fantastic for Ballymacash as they raced into a 3-1 lead. However, Ballinderry came back to be 4-3 down. They were unable to sustain the fight back with Ballymacash winning the next two for a 6-3 victory.

Ballinderry winners were E. Moulds (100), G. Rea (100), H. Todd (121).

On target for Ballymacash were S. Gardiner (100), S. Parker, C. Jameson (100), P. McKeown (100, 125, 140), A. Presho (140) and T. Heasley (140).

The final between Marketview and Ballymacash produced some brilliant scoring and finishing.

The highlight of the match was A.J. Coburn with a 15 darter, which really should have been 12.

Marketview winners were F. McMahon (121, 140), K. White (100, 125).

Securing the title for Ballymacash were A.J. Coburn (140, 180, 15 darts), S. Parker, A. McComb, A. Presho, T. Heasley (2x100, 20 darts), S. Gardiner (100).

Perpetual Cup final held

Last Friday saw the Perpetual Cup played to a finish in the Lisnagarvey Darts League. The final drew a large crowd at sponsor Derriaghy C/C.

Semi final 1 saw Dunmurry C/C defeat Downside 6-1. Dunmurry winners were G. Lyttle (100, 140, 20 darts), D. Lowry, J. McMillan Snr (2x100), C. Waterworth (100), D. Johnston (140), B. Jackson (100).

Downside’s lone winner was G. Sedge (140).

Semi final 2 saw Benmore demolish Hillborough 6-0. Benmore winners were I. Ringland, A. Dalzell (16 darts), R. Williamson (2x100), S. Hamilton (125), R. McClean (100) and P. Nicholson (100).

The final saw darts of the highest quality with Dunmurry coming out top with a 6-5 win over Benmore,
