Bann Twos are the stars after comfortable win over Holywood

After a great win the week before, Banbridge Twos travelled to Belfast full of confidence and didn’t look like coming a cropper in this away fixture.

The match started well with Bann keeping most of their own centre passes and gaining one steal from their opponents.

The game was very physical with both teams competing for every ball. After a tight first quarter, Banbridge led by a single goal.

During the next quarter, there was some excellent mid-court attacking play from Melissa Whan and Kerri Patterson who provided some excellent shots into the circle.

The defence worked extremely hard to pick up loose balls and to intercept any weak passes down the court.

The whole team worked extremely hard throughout the whole game, with Lindsay Baird and Rachel Ryan taking some lovely interceptions.

In the shooting circle, Paula McBride and Helen Monaghan scored some amazing shots and pulled the score further into Banbridge’s favour to seal the eventually comfortable win.

After a good team performance, Player of the match was hard to pick and in the end was shared between Lindsay Baird and Kerri Patterson.
