Biesty’sDuathlon hailed a great success

Ballymoney Cycling Club Biesty’s Centra Tri Team organised a duathlon based at the Joey Dunlop Leisure Centre with a two mile run, ten mile bike and finished off with a two mile run.

With the road season finished the last ounces of energy left were burnt off when 96 competitors lined

up on a mild day and at times the sun threatened to come out.

Ballymoney Cycling Club road riders Stuart Laverty, Jordan McCaw and Marshall Craig were there to give it a go with Jordan McCaw coming 1st in the junior section.

The field was made up with experienced athletes and first timers all giving it a real go.

As this event was in aid of the charity National Deaf Children’s Society, and a great donation of £700 will be presented to this worthy cause.
