Waterside boxing club hostimpressive event for clubs

On Sunday, Rochesters ABC, held a tournament for novice boxers of various ages.

Six different local clubs represented, Rochesters, The Ring, Oakleaf, Eglinton, Springtown and Ballykelly.

A large supportive crowd turned out to watch 15 well contested bouts made up of both boys and girls ranging in age from 9-years-old to 30-years-old.

Medals were presented to all boxers at the end of each bout by Glenn Barr, OBE.

This weekend Rochesters ABC will be hosting the forthcoming District Championships on Saturday and Sunday.

The weigh in for all participating boxers will commence at 10am, on Saturday at Rochesters gym.

Boxing will commence at around midday and all spectators are welcome.
