Busy winter in store for Ballymena & Antrim Athletics Club

BALLYMENA & Antrim Athletics Club is ready to begin a busy winter period.

The club will hold its annual general meeting on Thursday, September 27, in the clubroom at Antrim Stadium.

Registration will take place at 7.15pm, with the AGM commencing at 7.30pm sharp.

The club is on the lookout for several new volunteers to help with the running of the Club.

If you, or someone you know is interested in helping out please come forward.

Before that AGM, the first training sessions of the 2012-13 season begin on Tuesday, September 11.

Circuit training (for ages 12+) and sports hall athletics (under-12s) take place at Louis Grammar School, Ballymena, or alternatively circuit training will also be held at Antrim Grammar School.

Training at both venues begins at 6.30pm sharp.

Track and field training begins at Antrim Stadium on Thursday, September 20, at 6.30pm.

The clubs is also making plans for its annual awards ceremony which, in a change of format from previous years, will be held on a separate night from the AGM.

The event, entitled ‘A Celebration of Achievement’ will take place on Friday, October 5, at 7.30pm in the Old Courthouse, Market Square, Antrim.

Invitations will be issued and tickets available from the Club on or after September 20.
