Captain's Drive-in coming to Redcastle

WITH only a few weeks left of the Spring League at Redcastle the leader board could not be closer with Danny Moore still leading and a group of three contenders in hot pursuit it will go right to the wire.

While the Captains Drive in will be held this Saturday, at 9am for 9.30am shotgun start. Please note Spring League will be cancelled on Saturday but will continue as normal on Sunday, March 28.

Meanwhile the Ladies branch held their annual St Patricks Day mixed fourball in fine conditions at Redcastle Golf Club, with a great turnout of members, friends and invited guests, competing for the coveted Divorce Court Trophy, sponsored by Chris and Jo Hyland, past members who travelled from England for the event.

Claiming first prize were Victor and Gill Eakin after they scored 48 points, second was Mark Wilson and Una Morrison who finished with 42 points and Val McGeough and Helen Brady were third after they too also scored 42 points.

The Longest mens Drive was Mark Wilson and Maggie Logue hit the ladies Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin at the fifth hole was Dennis Sheridan and Nearest the Pin at the eigth was Anne Hamilton.

The Ladies Branch will be holding their first competition starting with a 9 hole Bring and Win on Monday, March 29, running draw from 5pm until 5.45pm.
