“Senior League Section 1 fixtures against Saintfield, Downpatrick and most recently against Lurgan have fallen foul of the weather and will have to be rearranged,” said club secretary, Jack Quinn.

“Rain on the past three Fridays have left soggy conditions on our home ground, so informing our opponents of the postponement on each Friday evening or Saturday morning was a formality.

“To date, we have played only three of our eight scheduled league fixtures, so we will address the backlog by playing on Saturdays and Sundays most weekends throughout the second half of the season,” he confirmed.

Although ACC have lost only once this season, they find themselves in mid-table, but with games in hand they could be challenging leaders Downpatrick who have a 100 per cent record after seven rounds of fixtures, while at the opposite end Saintfield remain pointless rooted to the bottom of the table.

On Sunday, Darryl Martin’s 2nd XI and Adam Sloan’s 3rd XI were both scheduled to travel to Carrickfergus to take on their counterparts in Junior League fixtures, but both were called off because of rain.

Weekend fixtures: 1st XI v Muckamore, home; 2nd XI v Donaghcloney II, home; 3rd XI v Bangor III, home (Sunday); 4th XI v Armagh III, away.
