Derriaghy defeat as Lisburn U13s go through in the Cup

Lisburn CC U13s beat Derriaghy by 80 runs in the Banogue Cup in a match split over two nights due to the weather.

Derriaghy won the toss and put Lisburn into bat.

Michael Glass (69 not out) and Nathan Doak (58 not out) set off at a tremendous pace, striking the ball crisply to all parts of the ground.

David Scott was the only Derriaghy bowler who managed to slow the two openers down but they still managed to set a daunting score of 151 in 20 overs.

Derriaghy’s NCU star Reece Malone looked good as usual before Jude Postlethwaite bowled him.

After that Derriaghy were up against it and Cameron Doak (3 for 8), Peter Milligan (3 for 9) and Conor Blair (2 for 18) ensured Derriaghy were all out for 71.

Lisburn now play CSNI in the semi-final.
