On a damp wicket and with conditions overhead cloudy, skipper Paul McCart was keen to have a bowl first. Despite losing the toss, he got his wish as dungannon opted to bat first.

Led by the evergreen Chris Adrian and included in the Dungannon side his 77 year old wicket keeping dad Willie, Dungannon struggled to get to grips with the Millpark bowling.

They lost wickets regularly throughout their innings with the returning Jason Maxwell proving to be especially difficult to handle, finishing with the impressive figures of 4-17.

Skipper McCart also chipped in with three wickets and Millpark’s star bowler from the 2014 season Davy Glover grabbed a couple of wickets as well.

The bowlers could be pleased with their work, bowling Dungannon out for 68.

The only moan being the 21 extras.

Millpark’s reply started brightly and openers Stu McCart and Davy Glover put on 48 before Stu McCart departed.

However, a few quick wickets left Millpark reeling before Rory Canavan on debut for the firsts hit the winning run to give Millpark victory by five wickets. It must be noted that Willie Adrian kept superbly and took a catch and a stumping which is impressive at any age let alone 77.
