The club fields teams at under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 17 age levels and has enjoyed significant success in Northern Cricket Union of Ireland competitions during recent decades.

The current Under 13 XI is due to contest the final of the Banoge Cup against CSNI at Stormont on Thursday 15th August, while two members of the team, John Glass and James McClean, have been selected as members of the current Ireland under 13 squad.

A full programme of age group practice sessions runs during the months of the season at Eaton Park, with an additional session for very promising players being held during July and August.

“To have Michelin’s support in assisting in the purchase of equipment and in funding enrolment in courses for our coaches, in particular, is invaluable in ensuring that we can sustain and develop youth cricket in the Ballymena club,” said club treasurer, Hector Deane.

“As a result of the hard work of our dedicated coaches, many of our young players are ready to graduate to membership of our adult teams, of which there are four, not long after entering their teenage years.

“Already a number of the current U13 XI is playing adult cricket, which in itself builds the confidence and experience of these young players”.
