Prsistent rain throughout the morning meant no play was possible, so Sunday 22 May will see the North West kingpins travel to Queensway for the rearrangement (12.30 start).

The Lagan Valley Steels T20 group stages start with Derriaghy travelling to Carrick on Friday (13th) in a match that starts at 6pm.

On Saturday they travel in the AJG Challenge Cup to face Donaghcloney at the Factory Ground. Play begins at 12 noon.

Derriaghy Second XI did get some action at the weekend and despite a long delay due to rain at Queensway, ran out winners over Holywood by 10 wickets.

The visitors struggled against some tidy bowling and excellent fielding which saw them dismissed for 68.

Reece Malone 3 for 11, Josh Cardosi 3 for 13 and Simon Gilmore 2 for 14 were the pick of the bowlers.

After an extended tea break the home side wasted no time knocking of the required runs inside 7 overs.

Stephen Cairnduff struck some lusty blows finishing with 45 not out while Matty Jennings played the supporting role with 17 not out.

This week the Seconds are at home to Lurgan in the league starting at 1.30. The Fourths hope to get their season started when they travel to Templepatrick.

The club congratulate their NCU Under 15 player Reece Malone who struck successive centuries for Friends School, the most recent of which was at Mallusk against BRA.

The following day he hit 48 in a NCU Inter provincial trial match and the club hope he will have done enough to cement his place in the team for the series at the end of June.
