Wicket plays its part as Millpark fall to high flying Holywood

Admittedly the wicket was not of great help, certainly contributing to the downfall of Charlie McCrum for just eight.

His opening partner Ikram departed for the same score, leaving Millpark 25-2. Stu McCart was soon back in the hutch for just two, swiftly followed by Ben Talbot, lbw for 18. Talbot felt he had got an inside edge, but the umpire raised his finger.

Davy Glover again got off to a start, before he too was dismissed, his score 19. Andrew Woods looked stylish during his 10 run cameo, but by the time he had gone, the score had subsided to 89-7.

Johnny Breen and Jason Maxwell did their best but when both were out for 11, Millpark had been dismissed for an underwhelming 116.

Darrell Martin bowled well into a strong wind, while Ali started well before taking a little punishment. Davy Glover took a wicket with his fourth ball to give a glimmer of hope.

Stu McCart came to the party late on to claim two wickets, one of them courtesy of a superb tumbling catch from Johnny Breen. George Chambers then took his first First XI wicket and was unlucky not to take another.

Holywood cantered home by five wickets in just 26 overs.
