Crown-ing glory for Cullybackey sports teams

CULLYBACKEY High School teams will certainly look the part as they do battle in the sporting arena this year.

The Pottinger Street school were the winners in a competition for a new set of kit run by Crown Paints and Eurown Wallpaper and Paints, Ballymena, last year.

The prize - a set of 20 tracksuits and hooded sweatshirts - enabled the school to kit out pupils involved in football, swimming and horse jumping.

Cullybackey also won £250 worth of paint, supplied by Eurown, which will be used to brighten up some areas of the school.

The presentation of the sports kits and paint was made by David Bradley, of Crown Paints, and Billy Smyth, of Eurown.

School sports teachers Mr Kelso and Mrs Robinson were delighted with the new kit, which will be used to good effect at sporting events this year, and they thanked Crown Paint and Eurown for the generous prize.
