Davitt Park re-opens

AFTER a total transformation and revamp the new Davitt Park will reopen this Sunday for the Senior Home game against St Patrick’s Cullyhanna.

After being closed for two seasons to complete the works the new complex now contains a complete new pitch, 3G multi use games area and a training/warm up area.

The new pitch itself has a state of the art floodlighting system, capable of hosting Intercounty fixtures as well as terracing to the side.

Clan na Gael have over 15 teams in boys, girls and mens football, as well as camogie, and the new facilities are to be welcomed at this time.

An official opening is planned for later in the year but the Senior side have the honour to be the first team to play at the the newly developed ground this weekend, with a 2pm throw in on Sunday.
