In an end to end first half the Eoghan Rua girls took control thanks to goals from Sarah Moore and a great dipping effort from Olivia Mullan.

Craigbane finished the half strongly though with a goal and a point to lead at the half time whistle by a single point 2-5 to 2-4.

Into the second half and a point for Craigbane was met with a two goal salvo from the Eoghan Rua girls, the first a neat flick by Sarah Moore before Eve Lundy found the net from close range.

A Craigbane point reduced the gap to four before Darcey Kelly notched an impressive point off her weaker left foot.

Two Shauna Doherty points opened the gap to seven points for the Eoghan Rua girls but Craigbane kept coming back at them.

A fortuitous goal direct from a free kick was followed by another Craigbane goal and the gap was down to one point.

The impressive Sorcha Duggan found the net after a blistering run though to all but seal the win for Eoghan Rua.
