Fairhill five-mile town centre road race on Wednesday

With only a few days left until the Fairhill Ballymena 5 Mile Road Race, Fun Run and Walk takes off for the fourth year running, there is still time for you to register and finish the race.

The event, sponsored by Fairhill Shopping Centre and Montgomerys Restaurant, organised by Ballymena Town Centre Development in partnership with Ballymena Runners will take place this Wednesday the 3rd June at 7pm and is open to everyone young and old, amateur and professional alike - all in the name of fun!

Grainne Devine, Marketing and Commercial Manager for Fairhill Ballymena commented: “This event is a chance for everyone to get out their running shoes whether it’s been a while or they are a keen runner.

“The competitive runners will no doubt pound the streets in the 5 mile Road Race, but there is also the chance to have some fun with a 2.5mile fun run and walk for those looking for a lighter challenge.

“Fairhill is delighted to be involved and can’t wait to see everyone there and enjoy the fun,” added Grainne.

Although online registration is now closed, Runners and walkers can register for the Road Race, Fun Run and Walk at 5pm on the night of the event at Ballymena Business Centre on Church Street.

You can also pick up application forms from Sports Direct, Fairhill Shopping Centre, as well as through www.ballymenarunners.org.

Entry fee is £12 for Road Race, £5 for the Fun Run and Walk- with a free t-shirt for the first 300 competitors.
