Aaron Donnelly arrived at Larne from Cliftonville in a deal which saw Ronan Hale move in the other direction in May 2022, becoming Tiernan Lynch’s first summer signing ahead of their Gibson Cup-winning season. Donnelly, who has represented Northern Ireland at U19 level and has been involved in the U21 setup, was named as Cliftonville’s Player of the Year for the 2020/21 campaign and made his debut as a 16-year-old for the north Belfast outfit. Former Northern Ireland under-21 midfielder Shea Gordon joined Larne in the summer of 2022 following his release from Partick Thistle at the end of the 2021/22 season. The Derryloughan native came through the underage system at his hometown club Dungannon Swifts, before embarking on his professional career with Sheffield United in 2016.
