Award for Rec’s Shirley
Wellington Rec’s John Shirley was honoured at the Northern Amateur League’s Annual General Meeting when he was presented with the Logan and Johnston Memorial Cup, the Malcolm Brodie merit award.
John really is Wellington’s unsung hero. He has been involved with the club since the 1970s, serves as treasurer and has been its league representative for 34 years.
Ex-Northern Ireland international, Jim Magilton, presented the award.
