Ballykelly boss looks for more success after Junior Cup joy

BALLYKELLY United manager Ryan Magee was full of praise for his side following their Matt Morrison Junior Cup final win over City Colts.

Magee felt his side just about shaded things and in the end deserved to claim the trophy.

“There wasn’t much between the two sides and I think the wee rub of the green, which you need in finals went our way,” he admitted.

“Credit to City Colts they push us all the way, but I’m thrilled for our boys, who really have put in a big effort since Christmas. In fact leading up to this final there was a few players who I didn’t think would make it because of injuries, but they paid for their own physio treatment and put in a lot of work in regards fitness training and it paid off for us. We didn’t start the league that well, but we certainly finished strongly, so hopefully we can sort our early form out for next season.”
