Ballymoney up next for Portstewart

PORTSTEWART travel to neighbours Ballymoney this Saturday in what Portstewart Assistant Mangaer Aaron Forgrave is predicting will be a tough test.

Ballymoney go into the tie on the back of a 6-1 defeat.

Portstewart also failed to register any points on Saturday, two early goals from Wakehurst saw the visitors taking the spoils at a sun dreched Sea Haven.

“All games are tough for us at the minute,” admitted Aaron.

“ We have a very small squad and we are not taking our chances.

“We gave away two goals in five minutes on Saturday against Wakehurst, one may have been off side, but at the end of the day we still didn’t get the points.”

Porstewart started the game well and took control playing some good football.

Apart from the two goals, which can only be put down to a lapse in concentration, there was very little between the two sides.

Second half efforts from Moody, Fallon and Owen Peden didn’t come to anything, and the home side were forced to sample defeat yet again.

“We put in a good display against Wakehurst depsite the result, “ admitted Aaron.

“We are just guilty of not taking our chances.

“Joel (Madison) didn’t have a save to make in the second half - things just didn’t go to plan for us, it’s as simple as that.”
