Ballynure got off to a flying start with Chambers’ goal coming shortly after kick-off, striking the ball on the volley at an awkward height.

From there on in, the match was nip-and-tuck, with neither side creating any clear-cut chances. That was until a long ball from the Carniny keeper sent them down the right-hand side, resulting in a goal for Jonathan Cummings.

In the second-half, Murphy restored Ballynure’s advantage with a well-taken strike from just inside the box.

Ballynure had several chances to enhance the margin of their victory, all of which were squandered.

FCB are away to Newtowne tomorrow (Saturday, September 21).
