Coleraine get back to winning ways

Coleraine got back to winning ways with a 3-1 win at home to Lisburn Distillery on Saturday.

The Bannsiders edged in front on 16 minutes when Stephen Lowry headed in his third goal of the season against the Whites from Canning’s cross.

It was 2-0 seven minutes later as Ruairi Harkin curled home a delightful effort from the edge of the box.

Distillery responded with Dom Melly and Owain Beggs drawing good saves out of Michael Doherty.

But it was Coleraine who scored again as Kyle McVey headed in McIlmoyle’s centre as the visitors’ defence watched on.

Tim McCann’s men pulled one back 30 seconds after the restart as Glentoran loaner Beggs raced on to a long ball to score his second of the season.

A comeback never materialised though and it was Coleraine who threatened to add to their tally, but David Scullion was denied by a good save from Windrum.
