Is Derry City’s Ryan McBride the hardest man in football? This is the question Sky Sport’s ‘Soccer AM’ will be asking tomorrow.
McBride’s tackle, where he took out two Cork City players during last week’s scoreless draw at Turners Cross, became a social media sensation and the folks at Soccer AM will be featuring the challenge on tomorrow morning’s show.
Although referee Tomas Connolly didn’t see the great challenge, his assistant did, and he informed Mr Connolly to caution the City skipper for the tackle.
The yellow card means that McBride will miss next week’s league encounter with Bray Wanderers.
