Douglas and Browne happy with their lot

NEW boy Stephen Douglas may be in his mid-30s and have already won everything in the game, but that doesn’t mean his appetite has waned.

The former Linfield man teamed up with Oran Kearney again this summer after a trophy laden spell together at Linfield.

And Douglas is hoping they can taste more success at the Ballycastle Road.

“Oran wants to push on and and win things ,” said Douglas.

“I know he’ll be looking to win the league because that’s the type of person he is.

“It might take a few years for that to happen, but you have to aim high, otherwise you might as well give up.

Coleraine have been making good progress over the last few seasons, but the ambitions are they to do even better..

“I think that is well within the grasp of the club when you look at the players we have here.”

Fellow new signing Gary Browne agrees.

“There are a lot of good players here at Coleraine,” said Browne.

“It was a great boost for everyone to keep the likes of Howard Beverland and Stephen Lowry here.

“Oran has strengthened the squad we have to make sure we can kick on now.

“I had a frustrating time at Linfield, but that’s over now.

“Personally I feel I can score the goals we need.

“It also means a lot to have a manager who has confidence in me.”
