Dromore U14s extend winning streak with win over Lisbaskea

Last Saturday saw Dromore u14s winning sequence extend to seven games with a 6-3 cup win against Lisbaskea at Kernan.

Dromore were on the back foot after 20 seconds when Lisbaskea scored a goal straight from kick off with a run down the middle of the pitch.

Euan then produced a great corner from the left that Patrick managed to squeeze over the line with a volley.

Lisnaskea then scored again with an impressive run from their number 10 from the half way line.

Adam recovered a ball that seemed to be lost and produced a great cross for Karl to score.

Lisbaskea then scored anther. The game could have drifted away from Dromore, but for terrific saves by Josh.

From a Lisbaskea corner Karl carried the ball out of our box on a breakaway. Karl’s shot was blocked but Philip who had followed the break scored to make it 3-3 at half time.

With a tactical switch at the back Joel moved to the left and Liam moved to the right.

Soon, Dromore were ahead for the first time as a quick corner was taken by Adam and Karl swung the ball into the back post. Briggs realised the ball was on target and side stepped the shot and it nestled into the right side of the goal.

Luke had a shot ruled off side. Then came a great chip over the top by Patrick and great judgement by Karl who realised he was offside but Luke was on and from distance Luke put the ball over the keeper’s head.

The final goal came from a Patrick shot that was blocked and Adam did well to retrieve the rebound and scored the well deserved winner.
