The visitors were three up after 39 minutes before Rangers had their first scoring chance, when the keeper made a smart save to keep out Ryan Murphy’s low shot.

The Ballyclare lads coped better in the second half against a team two divisions above them, but were unable to prevent them netting a fourth goal in the 67th minute.

Rangers had a late opportunity to prevent the whitewash when Murphy set up Sammy McGookin, but his effort cleared the bar with only the keeper to beat.

Manager Jason Leitch was happy with the performance against a team that has reached the semi-final of the IFA Junior Cup for the second consecutive year.

Grange Rangers: Heaslip; White, Hunter, Johnston; Wright, Cooper (C), Thompson, Bell, Reid; McCrindle, Murphy. Subs: McAuley, McGookin, McMullan.
