Darragh Peden and Stevie Coulter were unavailable so Jonny Gibson and Ally Quinn were both back in.

Slane started well and skipper Bingham hit the post before they opened the scoring 20 minutes in. Harrison pounced to score a rebound from a Johnny Kernaghan shot.

On 25, it was 2-0 when Brian Quilty chased what looked a lost cause and his cross was converted at the back post by Harrison.

The second half was when Slane really clicked and soon made it three as Gareth Rees flicked home from a free kick.

Johnny Kernaghan bagged number four when Harrison burst through and unselfishly squared the ball for the midfielder to sidefoot home.

Rees volleyed home the fifth from 10 yards before Harrison set up the goal of the game.

The forward was put through down the right and his excellent first time cross was superbly volleyed home by Mark Ervine 12 yards out.

Number seven provided the hat-trick for star man Harrison himself.

It arrived as a Johnny Kernaghan shot was controlled by the striker, who skipped past the defenders before slotting past the keeper in a composed finish.

Recent signing Michael Ferguson made the eighth as he had a superb effort that the keeper pushed onto the post for Mark Ervine to follow up to slam the ball home.

And there was a fitting way to round off the scoring as skipper Gareth Bingham controlled at the edge of the box and found the bottom corner.

Slane stay a point behind leaders Windmill Stars.
