Defender Sean Roddy is out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury, while Shane McGinty is also struggling, but boss Kevin Deery is looking forward to the game.

Currently Stute sit three points behind the Inver Park men but they have played a game less and a victory would move Deery’s side above their opponents and into third spot.

“We have to try and finish above Larne and that’s what we set ourselves a target a few months back,” he said.

“We are the in-form team in the league, speak about anyone else you want, but we haven’t lost a league game since Bangor, in November, so I’m speaking about no one else other than ourselves.

“Look there will be twists and turns yet, we have 12 points to play for.

“We have a group of lads here who are busting a gut for each other and they’ll not be far away.”

Deery feels because of the quick turnaround between games, it may come down too who prepares the better.

“It’s a quick turn-around for both teams, so it’s how well you prepare,” he added.

“We haven’t got the numbers in terms of freshening things up but we have options there and we’ll have to think about what team to select.

“We came in on Sunday morning and got a good recovery session to give ourselves every chance, that’s the best we can do and then on the night it will be the best team who wins the game.”

Deery confirmed that he decided to give McGinty another few day’s recovery from his knee problem.

“I’m hoping Shane will be back, as that was the reason I left him out against Loughgall,” he said.

“He tried to do a light bit of training last Thursday night but we were conscience if he had have played against Loughgall, he definitely wouldn’t have played against Larne, so hopefully the wee plan works for me.”

Incidentally there will be a match report and video reaction from tomorrow night’s game at Inver Park right here.
