Just after the half-hour mark, Barry McKervey’s long-range effort gave Reds’ keeper Jonah Nicholl no chance, and the Ardoyne men protected their lead to book a spot in the fifth round.

The Comrades, who were without Championship Player of the Month Chris Trussell (flu), were hit by injuries to Michael McQuitty and Darren Doherty during the game.
