The Inver Reds had to settle for a 1-1 draw after Kevin Hughes popped up with a last-gasp equaliser.

Midfielder King summed up the mood in the Larne camp. “It is really disappointing as we should have had the game wrapped up. In the second half especially, we just didn’t compete [and] the senior players like myself needed to step up and clear our lines better and close the game out,” he said.

“When we took the lead we didn’t push on, even though we created chances. We allowed them to get back into it and they took their chance.

“We still have games to play and the players need to keep focused as they are playing for contracts next season and they owe it to the fans as well.”
