LIMAVADY UNITED 0 LARNE 0

LARNE laboured to a scoreless draw away to bottom-of-the-table Limavady United as they failed to find the net for the fourth time in the league this season.

The Invermen enjoyed the better of the first half but failed to break through against a young home side.

The first chance of the game arrived 15 minutes in when Stuart King got wide to the left flank and crossed for Niall McAllister, who brought a close range save out of Matt McGraw.

Thirteen minutes later Josh McAllister broke clear of the home side and, with just the goalkeeper to beat, McGraw managed to save with his legs.

A minute later Stuart King brought a fine saw out of McGraw when his top corner-bound free-kick was turned away by the goalkeeper.

The closest the home side came to scoring before the break was when Declan Logue found time to shoot from the edge of the box but Kerr got down comfortably to gather.

Kerr made a more impressive save 12 minutes into the second half when he raced off his line to smother Aaron Mullan’s shot, as the defender found time inside the area.

Neither side threatened to claim all three points until near the end when substitute Robbie-Lee Crawford cut in from the left and almost squeezed the ball in at the near post.

Fellow sub Craig Todd brought an unconventional save from McGraw as he shot from distance.

The home side looked menacing on the break but the backline dealt well with them to close out the game.
