The striker bagged his first ever senior hat-trick last Saturday and he told Times Sport after the game he, like the rest of the lads, cannot wait to face Ballymena.

“Today’s game is gone now, we’ll be back in again on Tuesday and Thursday night and make sure we are prepared for Saturday,” he said.

“We can’t wait for it though. We’re going well at the minute and Ballymena have had a wee dip in form and we really are buzzing for it.

“I’m sure it will be another battle. As they say the form book goes out the window in a derby game so we have to make sure we go out with the same attitude and workrate.

“Earlier in the season there was a lot of games when we worked hard but we couldn’t find a goal.

“Things have turned around for us.

“I’m delighted to be here and working under Oran, he’s the nicest fella you’ll ever meet.

“Training is top notch and the team spirit here is brilliant, it’s one of the best changing rooms I’ve been in.

“Last week at Portadown we could have won by four or five and it wouldn’t have flattered us.

Misky’s confidence is sky high at the moment with four goals in his last two games, although he has team-mate Neil McCafferty to thank for his treble against ‘Stute.

“I just went up to Neil once the penalty had been awarded and I said to him I was on for my first senior hat-trick, to be fair to him he was more than happy to let me hit it,” he said.

“He’s away up with my money now to buy himself a beer!”
