This Saturday is quarter-final day in the Matt Morrison Junior cup, there is also one game in the Premier Division.

Matt Morrison Junior Cup

Coleraine Crusaders v Ardmore

This has the makings of a cracker. The home side have been impressive in earlier rounds and with home advantage they will fancy their chances, they are reportedly a big physical side but also like to knock it about.

Damien McGee’s Ardmore side although out of the title race are determined to go all the way in this competition. They are on a good run of form and hit seven last week. This could go all the way to penalties.

Prediction: Ardmore.

Maghera Strollers v BBOB

The Strollers used to play their football in the North West league but since moving on they have proved that they are a more than useful outfit, always a difficult place to get a result they will have plenty of support.

BBOB’S manager Don Olphert does not want to end the season without a trophy and he will see this competition as his best chance, in twin strikers Joe McCready and Grant Garden he has the firepower to win this one.

Prediction: BBOB

Lisahally v Eglinton

A pair of First Division sides clash in this one, Lisahally are having a great season which will see them promoted to the Premiership probably as champions. They were not at their best in last weeks win over Glendermott but that was just a blip.

Eglinton lost to Churchill last week which will not have done their confidence any good going into this one. A home win looks assured.

Prediction: Lisahally

Tullyally Colts v Burnfoot

The Colts had arguably their worst performance of the season last Saturday, up to then however they had been playing well. They have some quality players in their line up with the likes of Kenny Richmond and Andrew Cooke to name just two.

Burnfoot will go into this one as big outsiders but they have reserved their best form for this cup so the home side can’t underestimate them, but it should be a home banker.

Prediction: Tullyally Colts

Premier Division

Claudy Rovers v

Newbuildings Utd Res

Manager Ryan McDaid would not have been a happy man after his sides performance at Drummond last week, a result which certainly damages their chances of lifting the title, however they are still in the hunt.

Credit to Newbuildings that although they have had a poor season they at least are giving their young players a chance which will benefit them in the long run, Rovers to get back to winning ways.

Prediction: Claudy

Rovers
