After a start to the season disrupted by injury and suspension, Annagh’s most experienced forward could play a key role in the bid for Championship One survival.

“I feel I am getting that sharpness back and it was great to score three but more important that we got the win,” said McCordick. “We have had a few different strike partnerships this season, with Chris McElroy outstanding with his work-rate.

“He was excellent on Saturday and his tireless work allows me a chance to try and find space.

“Adam Neale has just joined the club and came close to scoring on his debut.

“I was missing a few chances before but am feeling good at the minute.

“It was great to get the hat-trick and that also makes it three free-kick goals in a row.”
