Plenty of goals as BB sevens return after break

The LBBOB N.A. Sports BB Soccer Sevens returned after the winter recess with goals aplenty on the first night.

At Under 14 level in an even first half 1st Ahorey and Annaghmore/Tarataraghan share four goals and then another four goals were scored in the second and for them to run out 6-2 winners to go top of the Under 14 league.

Kyle Hamilton scored a brace for Ahorey, while their other goals came from Robert Hamilton, Elliott McKew, Thomas McIntosh and an own goal. Jackson Holmes scored a brace for Annaghmore/Tartaraghan.

Meanwhile at under 18 level, an even higher scoring game took place as Bluestone and Maralin shared an amazing 15 goals but it was Maralin who romped home 10-5 winners, after leading 5-3 at the interval, to rocket to the top of the Under 18 table.

Josh Norton scored an incredible five goals for Maralin, while Robert Proctor scored a hat-trick and Neil Kilpatrick a brace. Bluestone’s scorers were J Moore, E Tartarej, twice, D Mawhinney and R Morris.

Daniel Gordon was the star man at under 14 level on night two in group stage Week seven of the LBBOB N.A Sports BB Soccer Sevens, as he scored a hat-trick for 1st/7th Portadown in their 602 triumph against First Lurgan.

Lurgan actually opening the scoring and only 2-1 behind at the break before scoring a series of very late goals.

At under 18 level, it was very much a game of two halves between Knocknamuckley and 1st Lurgan as Muckley took a 3-0 lead thanks to a Stuart Best hat-trick before Lurgan won the second half but ultimately lost 7-5.

John Uprichard also scored hat-trick for Muckley while Joel Davison notched the other goal.

Lurgan’s goals were shared around through Ryan Tipping, Ross McFarland, Kyle Moutray, Jordan Carson and an own goal.
