Salley helps NI through first Euro qualifiers

It was all smiles for Adam Salley as he helped NI to qualification for the Elite Round of European Championshionships qualification.

Banbridge lad Adam Salley has helped Northern Ireland U19s through to the next round of the European Championships qualifying process.

The Linfield forward featured in all three matches as NI bagged second place in their group and with it a place in the Elite Round - one step off a coveted finals spot.

The qualification came despite a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Slovakia in their final game in Sochi on Monday, as a 1-1 draw between Russia and Norway ensured NI made it through.
